Mythologies

(A5, 48pages, bound with 2 coloured cable ties)

The body of this two part text records a discussion between the directors of the artist-run spaces i-cabin and Whitechapel Project Space.
The discussion documents i-cabin's history, covering what it is to be an 'artist run space' and the way in which it developed it's own practice as a collective art-production organisation named i-cabin(texts).
The text is presented in two forms; once in a structured and ordered manner and once exactly as it was spoken, each version being more correct than the other.
The title refers to both the process of reproducing speach as a theoretical text and the process of a young gallery building it's own history.

Mythologies exhibited as part of the exhibition La Commune at The Serpentine Gallery, London, 2007.
